The SBU conducts counter-sabotage measures in Donbass

Employees of the special service exposed 10 militants and seized 40 kg of explosives

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine discovered a cache of mines and exposed 10 members of illegal armed groups during preventive counter-subversive measures in the Volnovakh district of the Donetsk region. This was reported in the SBU press center.

By processing operational information, law enforcement officers have established the places of residence of members of the so-called "DNR" gangs, which are currently part of illegal armed militias.

At this time, law enforcement officers are verifying information about their involvement in active armed resistance to the forces of the ATO/OOS. If the data is confirmed, criminal proceedings will be opened.

In addition, in the apartment of one of the militants, SBU officers found a cache of weapons. Four TM-62M anti-tank mines with a total weight of 40 kg were taken from the cache. According to operational data, the attacker planned to use explosives to commit sabotage in the region.

Also, special service officers are verifying information about the illegal activities of two organizers of the so-called "referendum" of 2014 in the Donetsk region.

Based on established facts, the question of initiation of criminal proceedings is resolved.
