Almost all of the smugglers who came under sanctions were connected to Odessa

Earlier, Zelensky deprived three Ukrainian smugglers with dual citizenship of Ukrainian citizenship.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, by his decree approved the decision of the National Security Council of April 15 on personal sanctions against 13 more citizens, who are considered smugglers. Decree promulgated website of the Office of the President.

At the same time, 10 out of 13 citizens who came under sanctions are related to the Odesa region:

• Amirkhanyan Araik Khachykovych, a citizen of Armenia and Ukraine, an Odessa businessman, was accused of organizing the "mechanism of illegal transportation" of people from Ukraine to Russia through Crimea, illegally seizing the property of Ukrainian enterprises worth almost UAH 20 million. He was released from the pre-trial detention center on bail and went into hiding in France.

• Melkonyan Tigran Sasunikovich, registered at the address: Odesa, lane. Poselkovy, 5, director of the Sky Line company. In 2017, the Prosecutor General's Office seized seven containers of cigarettes from the Odessa Seaport, which were handed over to the Sky Line company for safekeeping. The court allowed the destruction of these cigarettes, but NABU suspected that GPU employees had sold them.

• Aminev Denys Marselovych, a former employee of the Odessa customs office, who was suspected of stealing 37 containers with uncleared cargo worth 154 million hryvnias.

• Serdyuk Sergey Pavlovich, a former employee of the Prosecutor General's Office, who was accused of the same thing as Aminev — theft of 154 million hryvnias worth of customs cargo in Odesa. Serdyuk came to the Prosecutor General's Office at the same time as Yuriy Lutsenko.

• Gribanov Mikhail Aleksandrovich, lives in Kyiv, former head of Odessa customs, who was detained for bribery in 2020.

• Andrey Yuryevich Popov, director of the terminal in Yuzhny port, which handled oil transshipment.

• Bogdanov Oleg Valerievich, businessman, according to the media, so-called "watcher" behind the black cash register of customs. In the Kyiv customs office, he worked in a position providing for the fight against smuggling, in the Odesa customs office, he was the deputy chief. Lives in Kakhovka, Kherson Region.

In addition, sanctions have been imposed against the following citizens:

• Kurshutov Seyar Osmanovych, lives in Kyiv, associate of ex-people's deputy from BPP Alexander Granovsky, close to Petro Poroshenko. Granovsky, according to the media, was the "observer" of the so-called Contraband Office - the smuggling business system, and Kurshutov was Granovsky's "right-hand man". A "tax" was established for importers, which they had to pay for trouble-free customs clearance and import of goods. Kurshutov controlled the flow of money from schemes.

• Cherepinsky Alexander Efimovych, lives in Kharkiv, partner of former People's Deputies from the BPP Alexander Granovsky and Igor Kononenko. There were reports that Cherepinsky was allegedly connected to the Security Service of Ukraine, engaged in smuggling of products and weapons, drug trafficking, and business raiding. It is mentioned in the investigations of the "Our Money" project about questionable purchases at airports.

• Kukoba Eduard Yakovlevich, a businessman from Mukachevo, business partner of former People's Deputy Vasiliy Petyovka (Our Ukraine, People's Will).

• Oleg Vladimirovych Doronin, who lives in Kyiv, was accused in the press of involvement in the organized criminal group Borody, which is engaged in underestimating the value of goods during customs clearance and tax evasion.

• Polusytok Vladimir Mykhailovych, a native of Lviv, held a managerial position at the "Horodok" customs post of the Lviv customs office, former deputy head of the operational department for combating smuggling and customs offenses, head of the Lviv customs department, businessman. His wife owned shares in different companies, which were estimated at 23 million hryvnias.

• Dvorak Yury Nikolayevich, former head of the Kyiv customs office, lives in Kyiv.
