Three law enforcement officers were killed in a car accident in the Belgorod Dnestrovsky District of the Odesa Region, and one more was injured. This was reported by the National Police.
According to preliminary information, employees of the Department of Criminal Investigation of the GUNP sent on a business trip in the Odesa region drove their official car into a ditch and crashed on the road from Tatarbunar to Sarata in the village of Zarya.
As a result, three policemen died - a captain, a major and a lieutenant colonel, another officer was injured.
The circumstances of the accident are being established. Law enforcement officers, rescuers and medics are working on the spot.
Information about the traffic accident was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules or the operation of transport by persons driving vehicles).
The case will be investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation.
