In Ukraine, there may be three options for the beginning of the school year. The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet said this in an interview Glavkomma.
"We expect that the first two months of autumn will not bring outbreaks. Except that the Delta strain, which is now spreading, can affect the situation," the official said.
According to him, the most favorable scenario is the "green" quarantine zone on the map of Ukraine. In these conditions, educational institutions will work as usual. Only in some regions, according to the decisions of the pedagogical councils, some schools can transfer to a distance form of education if they have outbreaks of diseases.
The second option: with a high level of coronavirus morbidity, the Ministry of Education and Culture will insist that classes 1-4, that is, primary school and special institutions (inclusive resource centers) work as usual.
At the same time, the changes provide that 80% of the vaccinated in scientific and pedagogical teams should be.
According to the third option, with an average level of morbidity there will be "yellow" and "orange" quarantine zones. Local authorities can transfer education to a mixed or remote form.
At the same time, the indicator of 80% of vaccinated teachers will allow the educational institution to work fully in normal mode, even during the stay in the "yellow" or "orange" zones.
As previously reported, all schools in Ukraine will start working on September 1 in the usual format, without mixed or distance learning options.
