The Odesa Regional State Administration has approved the "Made in Odesa" mark, which will become a mark of quality for local producers who meet a certain list of requirements for labor organization, payment of taxes, etc.
As reported by the OGA, the sign was approved at an open meeting of the Odesa Regional Tripartite Social and Economic Council with the participation of the Association of Employers' Organizations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the Odesa Region.
The head of the region, Sergey Hrynevetskyi, said that strict criteria will be established for the awarding of this sign — the salary level, the number of officially employed persons, quality training of workers and the introduction of innovative technologies; prospects for the development of the enterprise for the future.
The sign for regional goods in the OGA was developed based on the example of similar branding of goods in the USA and China. It depicts seven points that symbolize seven districts of the region.
The participants of the meeting approved the design of the sign and the mechanism of its assignment to goods. A special commission will be created under the tripartite council, which will deal with the assignment of "Made in Odesa" marks.
