The Central Electoral Commission announced the beginning of the electoral process of local elections scheduled for October 5 on September 25. This became known during the CEC meeting on August 30.
"At the same time, the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated July 15, 2020 "On the appointment of next local elections in 2020" was taken into account, the CEC Resolution No. 8 dated August 2020, 160 "On the first elections of deputies of rural, settlement, city councils of territorial communities and corresponding of village, township, city heads October 25, 2020", No. 161 "On the impossibility of holding the first elections of deputies of individual village, township, city councils of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the corresponding village, township, city heads October 25, 2020" and dated August 14, 2020 #176 "About the appointment of the first elections of district council deputies on October 25, 2020," the message reads.
In addition, the Commission made changes to its resolution dated August 8, 2020 No. 163 "On the Calendar plan of the main organizational events for the preparation and holding of the local elections on October 25, 2020", setting out the specified Calendar plan in a new version.
