"A dog's life": a reality series about dogs taken from a shelter is being filmed in Ukraine

Animal rights activist Lana Vetrova has been shooting a series about dogs that she and her husband once took from a shelter for more than a year.

For more than a year, Ukrainian animal rights activist Lana Vetrova has been shooting a TV series about dogs that she and her husband once took from a shelter.

The family shows viewers peace through the camera through the eyes of their pets. At the end of 2019, filming of the first season, consisting of 23 episodes, was completed. Each of them tells a separate story about the life of dogs in a family.

At the urgent request of subscribers, filming was continued in 2020, and at the moment 23 episodes of the second season have already been created.

"The most important thing was to decide and launch this project. This is systematic regular work, which also takes up a lot of free time, which we practically don't have anymore. But the feeling that this is an important social project gives us strength," shares the animal rights activist.

Dogs Dzyga and Dill lead very bright and rich lives. They participated in yachting competitions, flew on amphibious aircraft and climbed Hoverla three times.

— Our dog named Dzyga was officially recognized as the record holder of Ukraine in the nomination "The first dog to fly on a tandem paraglider", and the second dog named Ukrop is a participant in the record organized by the TV channel "Ukraine" in the nomination "The most massive pillow fight". Together, our dogs are record holders in the nomination "The first live radio broadcast with the participation of dogs," says Lana.
