Another language scandal occurred in Ukraine. This time the culprit was found on the football field.

Vitaliy Shumsky, the coach of FC Lviv, who received a yellow card during the Saturday match due to the Ukrainian language, was targeted, reports Football.ua.

On February 20, a football match was held in Lviv between FC Lviv and FC Kolos. In the 67th minute, the referee showed a yellow card to Lviv coach Vitaly Shumsky

. It turned out that the judge did not like the fact that the coach of the Golden Lions was telling him what language to speak. Shumsky himself does not understand why this happened and demands an explanation from the arbitrators.

Later, the coach said what exactly happened during the match. He noted that he approached the fourth referee and wanted to ask something about the game. The judge, in turn, spoke to Shumsky in Russian, which the latter did not like very much.

He asked: "Why are you talking to me in Russian?" After this question, the referee radioed the referee to give the coach a yellow card. Shumsky, not understanding what the matter was, asked the judge what the card was for. However, nothing was explained to him.

— I want to communicate in Ukrainian, and for that they give me yellow cards. I can't understand why I got a warning. I would like the fourth referee to explain to all of Ukraine why he asked to give me a yellow card. This is a precedent, so it cannot be - said the coach after the game.
