The military prosecutor's office of Iran has completed an extensive investigation into the crash of the UIA Ukrainian plane, which was shot down at the beginning of last year.
This was stated by the head of judicial bodies of the Supreme Court of Iran Shokroll Bahrami, reports the agency IRNA.
Bahrami said that the case is at the stage of drawing up an indictment. According to him, the trial begins after the preliminary trial with the participation of the defendants and the families of the victims.
As a reminder, the disaster of flight PS 752 Tehran — Kyiv of the UIA airline took place on January 8, 2020 in Iran. There were 167 passengers and 9 crew members in the plane, all of them died.
A few days later, Iran admitted that it shot down the passenger plane. It was claimed that the military allegedly mistook the airliner for a hostile target after an American drone strike, which killed a high-ranking Iranian military general in Iraq.
