In the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 4358 on the ban on smoking electronic cigarettes in public and workplaces.
In particular, the draft provides for a ban on smoking electronic cigarettes on the streets, at public transport stops, in markets and in offices.
Also, the document proposes to remove all advertisements for heating electronic cigarettes, e-cigarette liquids, and tobacco products from the streets, mass media, and the Internet.
In places of trade, it is prescribed not to display these goods in the window, but to sell them only to buyers over 21 years of age. Also, according to the bill, 30% of the area must be occupied by warnings about the harm of smoking from the Ministry of Health on packs of smokeless cigarettes.
However, the document will enter into force six months after it is adopted in the second reading and as a whole. Violators face a fine of 1 to 50 thousand. hryvnia
