Lviv Correctional Colony No. 48 will be another institution that will be put up for electronic auction this fall. This was reported by the Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska.
The last convict was taken out of the above colony in 2018.
"Now this institution is more like a Hollywood movie, where some kind of apocalypse is described," Malyuska said.
The institution itself is located near the center of Lviv and occupies 10 hectares. In general, colony No. 48 has more than 40 apartments with a total area of more than 42 thousand. sq.m.
"All engineering networks are connected to the buildings: electricity, water supply and drainage. Therefore, the colony can be interesting to both residential and industrial developers," Malyuska said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice announced a large sale of prisons. The first object will be the Irpen correctional center No. 132, located near Kyiv. Then the South Correctional Colony No. 51 in Odesa, where the riot of prisoners took place, will be released from the hammer.
