The Ukrainian film about teenagers received the "Crystal Bear" at the Berlinale

The picture "Stop-Earth" was recognized as the Best full-length film

The full-length feature film by Ukrainian director Ekaterina Gornostay, created with the support of Goskino, received the "Crystal Bear" award from the Youth Jury of the Berlinale Generation 14plus competition program. This is reported on the website of the State Agency of Ukraine on Cinema Issues.

The picture "Stop-Earth" was recognized as the Best full-length film. This is one of the most important awards of the festival, and it is the first for a Ukrainian film in this category.

"Stop Earth" is a sensual autobiographical story about a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Kyiv. The script was written by director Ekaterina Gornostay. Starring Maria Fedorchenko, Arseny Markov, Yana Isaenko, Alexander Ivanov. They are all non-professional teenage actors with whom the director worked in the acting laboratory in the fall of 2019.

In addition, on June 9 and 10, the film will be shown in Berlin cinemas as part of the second part of the current Berlinale.
