The government has regulated the procedure for the investigation of cases of death of medical workers, i.e. COVID-19. This was reported in the communications department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers
Thus, on January 5, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "Some questions on the investigation of death cases of certain categories of medical workers." According to this document, the procedure for investigating the death of medical workers of state and municipal health care institutions providing primary, emergency, as well as in-patient secondary (specialized) and tertiary (highly specialized) medical care to patients with COVID-19 is regulated. We are talking about deaths that occurred during the quarantine established by the Cabinet of Ministers and within three months from the date of its end. In particular, the procedure for the creation and work of the commission to investigate such cases, the deadlines for providing the documents, and the like are determined.
Changes were also made to the Procedure for the implementation of insurance payments in case of illness or death of medical workers due to infection with COVID-19.
It is noted that the implementation of the government's decision will facilitate the receipt of insurance payments provided for in Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases".
