Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions are leaving the "red" quarantine zone

In these regions, there is a steady improvement in the epidemic situation due to the coronavirus

From May 6, the "red" level of epidemic danger will be canceled in the territory of Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions. Such a decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.

According to Viktor Lyashko, the deputy chief state sanitary doctor, in the above-mentioned regions there is a steady improvement in the epidemic situation, in particular, the daily number of new cases of coronavirus is decreasing.

"The occupancy of beds, both in Khmelnytskyi and in Chernihiv region, does not exceed 65% and is at the level of 45%. The level of hospitalization in two regions is less than 60 people per 100 thousand population. The dynamics of the level of hospitalization has negative indicators. The coefficients of the detection of new cases also show that these two areas can be removed from the red level," Lyashko noted.

He added that the "yellow" level of epidemic danger will be established in the Khmelnytsky region, and the "orange" level will be set in the Chernihiv region for a slight excess of the influenza epidemic threshold.

In addition, Lyashko emphasized that the situation in the Kharkiv region has also improved, and the indicators allow the region to move from the "red" to the "yellow" level of epidemic danger. At the same time, Kharkiv OGA should take measures to provide additional beds with oxygen.

Thus, at this time, the "red" quarantine zone operates in three regions of Ukraine - Sumy, Poltava, and Zaporozhye.
