The remaining doses of vaccines against the coronavirus can no longer be used to vaccinate public figures. This is provided for by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 745 dated 16.04.2021 on amendments to the Road Map for Vaccination against COVID-19.
Therefore, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine No. 2297-VI "On the Protection of Personal Data" dated 01.06.2010, the regional health departments destroyed the personal data of public figures who provided it when filling out the form for registration for vaccination against COVID-19 with the final doses.
"Public figures can sign up for vaccination against COVID-19 using the Diya portal or application or through the contact center of the Ministry of Health. If registration was done earlier, it is not necessary to go through it again. Those public figures who have already received the first dose will definitely receive the second dose of the vaccine," said Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.
Let us remind you that on March 11, the Ministry of Health, by order No. 443, allowed priority risk groups from the next vaccination stage to be vaccinated with the final doses of the vaccine. If it was impossible to vaccinate representatives of certain groups from the next stage, then to popularize vaccination it was recommended to involve public and public figures in vaccination.
The new changes to the Road Map no longer provide such an option. Now, in order to avoid the disposal of the remaining vaccine from the coronavirus disease, only persons identified in the first and second stages of vaccination can be vaccinated with the final doses.
Currently, in Ukraine, priority groups are vaccinated from the first, second and partially third stages, namely: doctors and workers of health care institutions; residents and staff of nursing homes and specialized boarding schools; participants of the operation of the joint forces in the east of Ukraine; social workers; clergymen; Olympians and Paralympians who will represent Ukraine at the competitions in Tokyo in 2021; teachers involved in external independent evaluation; patrol police officers; State emergency service; border guards; people over the age of 65.
