The Cabinet of Ministers allowed to grant permission for immigration to Ukraine and further acquisition of citizenship to foreign investors and military personnel who have served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for at least three years.
The government made the corresponding decision during a meeting on Wednesday, January 13.
Now the following can apply for Ukrainian citizenship:
- persons who have served in the Armed Forces for three or more years;
- foreigners who will transfer at least $100 from a foreign account to the current account of an enterprise created by these foreign investors in Ukraine.
We note that the practice of obtaining citizenship for certain investments is mainly inherent in poor countries of the "Third World".
