This award is awarded to citizens of Ukraine under the age of 35 who "actively contribute to the processes of state creation, the development of parliamentarism and local self-government, have achieved significant results in solving social and legal issues."

"I found out about the award on New Year's Eve. It is very nice that I, as a representative of the Odesa Region, was recognized with an award for my contribution to the development of parliamentarism and local self-government. I will consider this award as a kind of advance to work as much and better as possible for the benefit of my native Odesa region," the deputy emphasized.

We note that Dmitriy Kovbasiuk is popular among the youth of Odesa due to his active position. He is a participant in intellectual tournaments of various levels, an organizer of various challenges and humanitarian actions, he cares about the fate of talented children and babies who need constant medical care.

For the past three years, in addition to his political activities, the deputy has devoted assistance to talented children in the Odesa (former Lymanskyi) district, most of whom could not realize their talents due to lack of opportunities.

In particular, the deputy, together with his team and patrons, developed and implemented an educational program for students of schools in the Lyman district #UFuture, the task of which is to find and support talented children from the school desk to form the new elite of Ukraine.

The project was launched for the first time in the 2017-2018 academic year on the basis of three schools in the Lyman district. Today, talented children receive a monthly stipend of 1500 hryvnias, and also attend courses and work with tutors for free. After entering the university, they will receive a scholarship in the amount of 2500 hryvnias, and starting from the fourth year of study at the university, the #UFuture team will start offering project participants potential jobs.

In addition, in 2019, Dmytro Kovbasyuk and like-minded people created the public organization "Obschee resheni" whose goal is to provide targeted assistance to needy categories of people in the former Lyman district.
