Sexual education and sex education should be part of the educational program in Ukraine, the educational ombudsman
According to Serhii Gorbachev, such an education helps prevent sexual violence and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
Gorbachev believes that sex education should be implemented in schools because it is a matter of security. Safety is the most important human right, the right to life and health.
"If I were to ask a person, do you need to learn traffic rules? The answer will be obvious. It is necessary, because it is a matter of security. In the same way, one must take care of human safety — and this is the most important human right, the right to life and health." - he said.
The fact that we have unpleasant cases related to sexual crimes and diseases is very often due to the fact that many people simply do not know how to behave properly,

Serhii Gorbachev also specified that sex education and sexual education are needed for that. At the same time, he emphasized that sexual education is more about physiology, sexual education is more about the social aspect, the rules of behavior in relationships with other people.
The official recalled that the topic of sex and intersex relationships was taboo in the USSR, as the totalitarian regime tried to keep everything under control.
"Sex is an area of human freedom. The place where a person is himself. 32 years in the historical perspective is a very short time. In fact, in Ukrainian society, a lot remains from the USSR in the attitude to human rights, to oneself, to the government. Even Ukrainian education has not yet overcome this negative legacy of Soviet totalitarian education. As we become a civilized society, we begin to pay more respect to human rights in the most important components, including sexual life. — summed up Serhiy Gorbachev.
Petition on the introduction of such a course in Ukrainian schools received the necessary number of votes, and the president asked the Cabinet of Ministers to work on this issue.
