Today, people's deputies supported the law on education (No. 5465) on improving the quality of textbooks.
Now parents and teachers will be able to complain about the poor quality of educational materials to the Ministry of Education. If they turn out to be justified, then the textbook will be banned from being used at school. This was explained by the co-author of the bill, People's Deputy Inna Sovsun.
From the educational literature, they will also remove the "information garbage", which has been confusing children's heads for years.
"It will be legislated that textbooks must be based on scientific data, not contain discriminatory statements, and when writing them, it is forbidden to violate the principles of academic virtue," said People's Deputy Inna Sovsun.
At the same time, a digital interactive application should appear in all school textbooks. But for this, the Ministry of Education still needs to develop a clear mechanism for the implementation of new legislative norms.
