The founder of Microsoft and the richest man on the planet, Bill Gates, suggested that some restrictive measures introduced against the background of the coronavirus pandemic could be weakened or canceled by the end of spring this year. This was reported by the TV channel on Friday, February 26 CNBC.
"Only by the end of spring or summer will we be able to reach the numbers that will allow us to significantly change our behavior," the billionaire predicted.
At the same time, 65-year-old Gates, who has already received two doses of the COVID-XNUMX vaccine, said that he will not stop wearing masks, despite the fact that he has been vaccinated. According to him, this precautionary measure will still be needed - until winter.
"I'm not going to stop wearing masks or being careful, especially with elderly people who haven't been vaccinated," he said.
Earlier, Bill Gates said that for complete protection against a new type of coronavirus infection, a third dose of the vaccine may be needed, which will contain a drug modified to take into account the mutations of the virus.
As reported, the World Health Organization announced that the COVID-19 pandemic will end in early 2022.
