We have almost completed the signing of the documents, the relevant applications have been submitted, and we have received the approval of this application. According to the COVAX initiative, these 8 million doses will begin to be delivered from the end of the first quarter of next year. We expect to receive them by the end of the first half of 2. They will go in corresponding tranches.
In this way, we will be able to provide vaccination for at least 4 million citizens, as there are 8 million doses, and one person receives two doses," Stepanov said.
According to the minister, Ukraine has been negotiating with companies that are in the final stages of vaccine development since the summer to purchase the remaining necessary doses. He also added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is negotiating with the leaders of the countries where these producers are located to conduct large-scale vaccination next year.
