Moldova, Hungary, Turkey and Georgia agreed to recognize Ukrainian certificates of vaccination against COVID-19. At the same time, they can start issuing them as early as July 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said.
"We expect that in the near future these arrangements will be consolidated by corresponding agreements," Shmyhal said.
And the head of the National Technical Group of Experts on Immunoprophylaxis at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Fedor Lapiy explained how such certificates will work.
According to him, the validity period of the document will depend on the number of doses of the vaccine. Lapiy clarified that everyone who is vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine is already in the electronic database. After returning to Ukraine, citizens will be able to use the same electronic certificate without PCR testing, however, this option does not work yet.
Let us remind you that since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in Ukraine, 1 million 216 thousand people have been vaccinated with one vaccine, and 146 thousand people have been fully vaccinated.
