20 million hryvnias of budget funds have been allocated for the first Ukrainian film about the life of LGBT representatives entitled "My Young Prince". This was reported by the State Film Agency on Monday, November 8.
"On October 12.10.2021, 20, the Council for State Support of Cinematography adopted a decision to grant state support to the film project "My Young Prince" in the amount of XNUMX million hryvnias," the message says.
It is indicated that this project won the 17th Goskino competition. In the center of the plot is a 17-year-old gay teenager. He leads a lavish life in his luxurious house with the money earned by his grandmother from the sale of works of art, until he meets the boy Antoine and his father Mark.
The role of the main character Paul will be played by the Ukrainian actor Petr Nynovsky, who starred in the 1+1 TV series "Sydorenky-Sydorenky". Among the performers we will also see Viktoriya Lytvynenko, Evgeny Lesnychey, Ksenia Zhdanova, Anastasia Pustovit, Oksana Grebenyuk, Pavel Vyshnyakov, Artemiy Egorov, Andrey Maksimov, Igor Ivanov. The role of Mark will be played by the Ukrainian Crimean Tatar actor and director Akhtem Seytablaev ("Numbers", "Zakhar Berkut", "Cyborgs", "Another's Prayer", "Haytarma").
The authors of the script are Aleksey Gladushevsky and Khachatur Vasylyan. The director will be Khachatur Vasylyan, awarded in 2018 for the film "Details" at the Le Petit Cannes Film Festival. Alexey Gladushevsky (Starlight Original Content), known for the TV series "The First Swallows", will be the screenwriter and producer. The stage designer is Dmytro Kostyuminsky, set designer and theater director, known for his work with Vlad Troitsky.
The planned premiere date of the film is July 2022.
