In 2021, the richest man in Ukraine, billionaire Rynat Akhmetov, surpassed the 131st line of the ranking of the richest people in the world and doubled his fortune. This is stated in data Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
At the beginning of January, in the ranking of the 500 richest people on the planet, Akhmetov took 190th place with a fortune of $11,7 billion. Compared to last year, the oligarch became richer by 55% or $4,14 billion.
For comparison, on January 3, 2021, Akhmetov took 322nd place with a fortune of 7,53 billion dollars, and at the beginning of 2020 - 321st place with a fortune of 6,1 billion dollars. In 2019, he was 283rd in the ranking with a fortune of 5,26 billion dollars.
Rynat Akhmetov is the only representative of Ukraine in the Bloomberg rating. He entered this rating for the first time in 2017, immediately - on 439th place.
