Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the renewal of privatization in wartime conditions from September 1, 2022.
"The President of Ukraine set the task of starting privatization from September. For this purpose, the Verkhovna Rada has adopted relevant legislation, the Government has developed all bylaws. We have to make this process as fast as possible," Shmyhal said.
The prime minister hopes that the sale of unused state facilities will stimulate business development.
"Small-scale privatization, especially in regions where people in villages and towns know about facilities that have been standing for years and are inefficiently used, is designed to provide an opportunity to buy these premises at a fair price and start work," Shmyhal said.
Privatization will also allow expanding the proceedings for farmers, the government noted.
The Ministry of Economy announced that at the beginning of September, according to the schedule, auctions for elevator capacities and bread production plants will be announced.
