To the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, a charity fair and a festival of patriotic songs were held in the Dobroslav community of Odesa district.
Saturday day in the community began with laying flowers at the memorial sign to the Heroes of the 28th OMB named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign in the village of Dobroslav and honoring the memory of those who died in the war.
Then the residents of OTG and guests moved to the charity fair, which took place in the village of Troyandove. At the fair, you could taste the variety of local cuisine and buy works of art by local artists. All funds from the fair will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine — in total, more than 175 thousand hryvnias were collected.
To mark the occasion, a festival of patriotic songs "Songs of Unconquered Hearts" was held in Troyandovo.
The "Songs of Unconquered Hearts" festival is a meeting place for incredible people! Concentration of the powerful force of friendship, unity, sincerity and love. Here hearts sound in unison. Here, emotions overflow so much that you want to hug every person. Thank you to everyone who participated - military personnel and volunteers, deputies and officials, residents of Rozayiv and Dobroslav, residents of Kremyd and Shompoliv, guests of our community. It is your hospitality, sincerity, cordiality and kindness that made this day so bright and unforgettable," says the head of the OTG Lyudmila Prokopechko.
The awarding of military honors and awards was also held at the patriotic song festival.
Oleg Radkovskyi, the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, presented honorary medals of the Regional Council to Roman Zhivotchenko, colonel, commander of the 38th anti-aircraft missile regiment named after Colonel-General Yury Tyutyunnyk and Serhiy Tkachuk, commander of the 4th rifle battalion of the 28th OMB named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
"These days, we congratulate our defenders and celebrate the feast of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God, who is the patroness and protector of Ukrainian soldiers. Our glorious Armed Forces bravely defend Ukraine from the enemy and are successful at the front. I am sure that we will definitely win, and the military song, which has always been a support for our soldiers, will continue to be heard in our free Ukraine. Glory to the Heroes!", Oleg Radkovsky noted in his welcoming speech.
Other officials also awarded servicemen of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, the 38th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the operational command "South" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 126th separate brigade of the territorial defense of Odesa, the military unit 3012 of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Odesa marine guard detachment and Guard companies and voluntary formation of the Dobroslav settlement council No. 1.
