Karate athlete from Odesa Anzhelika Terlyuga won the silver medal of the Olympics in Tokyo.
In the final match of the Olympic Games in karate (kumite) in the weight category up to 55 kg, Terlyuga lost to Bulgarian Ivet Goranova. The Bulgarian won with a score of 5:1.
Two karatekas - Bettina Plank from Austria and Wen Zi-Yun from China - won the bronze awards.
In this way, the woman from Odessa brought the third silver medal to the Olympic team of Ukraine. Ukraine now has one gold medal, three silver and nine bronze medals.
