Anatoly Lomachenko, trainer of Akkerman boxing club, father and mentor of world boxing champion Vasyly Lomachenko, was awarded the Order of Merit, 1st degree. This was reported by the press service of Odesa OGA.
Lomachenko received the award at the traditional New Year's Eve ceremony honoring the best representatives of the sports community of the Odesa region.
The title of "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports" was awarded to Galina Havrushenko (deputy head of the "Odessa Regional Center for Physical Culture and Sports for Persons with Disabilities "Invasport") and Vyacheslav Ryzhy (trainer-teacher of Greco-Roman wrestling at the Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery) Olympian").
Tatiana Fedorenkova (Chairman of the Odesa Territorial Public Organization "All-Ukrainian Physical and Sports Society "Kolos") was awarded an honorary degree by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Certificates for monthly financial assistance in 2021 were awarded to the best athletes — holders of Olympic licenses Anastasia Lysenko (weightlifting), Anastasia Todorova (kayaking and canoeing), Anzhelika Terlyuga (karate), Irina Malovichko (stand shooting), Vasyl Kovalchuk, Yuriy Stoev, Andrey Doroshenko, Irina Shchetnyk (shotgun), Roman Polyansky (academic rowing), Alexander Lytvynenko (athletics), Ekaterina Tkachuk, Bohdan Grynenko (swimming).
