Ukrainian show business stars, led by Alexei Potapenko, created a musical single "Waltz 86", dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
The words and music were written by modern Ukrainian authors and performers: Honored Artist of Ukraine Aleksey Potapenko, Vladimir Kagarlyk, Inga Kagarlyk and Alina Pash.
The musical track "Waltz 86" reminds of the tragedy of April 26, 1986, mistakes, pain, life and traces that remained forever.
"About how people were forced to leave their homes and their native town or village. About the pain, sadness and "point of no return" that changed life forever. When one cynical mistake had an effect on the whole of Ukraine and the world. It will never be forgotten. They should continue to talk, sing, and make movies about the tragedy of Chernobyl. After all, it is forever inscribed in our history," noted Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.
Potap, the MOZGI group, Sergey Babkin, Dorofeeva, Taras Topolya, Alina Pash, Yulia Sanina joined the performance of the track.
