The Appellate Chamber of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court sent Dmytro Babak, the former head of the Main Directorate of the State Geocadastre in the Kyiv region, and now acting head of the State Reserve Agency, under night house arrest. This was reported by the VAX press service.
Note that the suspect's name is not mentioned in court, however, according to information "EliteExpert", it is about Dmytro Babak.
"On October 4, 2023, AP VAKS considered the appeal of the prosecution on resolution the decision of the investigating judge of the VAKS from August 23, 2023 regarding the application of a preventive measure in the form of a personal commitment to the former head of the Main Department of the State Geocadaster in the Kyiv region. According to the results of the review, the panel of judges partially satisfied the appeal of the prosecution, changing the preventive measure of the suspect to house arrest at night with the imposition of additional duties.", the court informs.
Earlier, the anti-corruption court released Babak on personal recognizance.
It should be recalled, NABU and SAP reported the suspicion to five persons, including the head of the State Reserve Dmytro Babak. According to the investigation, in 2018-2019, these individuals took over almost 920 hectares of state land in Fastov, Kyiv region, and about 284 hectares of state-owned enterprise "Pushka-Vodytsia" near the city of Kyiv.
The decision entered into legal force from the moment of its announcement and is not subject to appeal in the cassation procedure.
