The office of the President of Ukraine has information that Russia is developing options for the possible seizure of Odessa and Kharkiv. He stated this in an interview with journalists of Agence France-Presse, Reuters and Associated Press, the full text of which is posted on the website of the head of the Ukrainian state.
The President noted that the Russian Federation constantly declares that it has nothing to do with it, it is necessary to talk with the LPR/DPR terrorist organizations controlled by it, however, it is Russia that is preparing joint exercises with Belarus "Zapad-2021" for September.
"Then the question is: what about "Zapad-2021", the exercises that you are conducting. Not LDNR, not ORDLO, you (Russia - ed.) are conducting this. Then tell me, why here - according to the information we receive - options for the possible seizure of Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv are being worked out? You just wonder how it is possible to say one thing and do another," he said.
According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine should expect complications in the security situation and be ready for it every day.
"But I don't think it will happen. The probability of provocations is, in particular, in mid-September, when Zapad-2021 will be held, the president added.
