Odesa

For the first time in history, the Secretary General of the United Nations visited Odesa

On August 19, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov arrived in Odesa. They visited the Odesa port, from which Ukrainian food is exported as part of the "grain initiative".

Observing the loading of Kubrosli-Y bulker, which will take almost 10 thousand tons of wheat from Odesa port, Antonio Guterres gave a short briefing to Odesa, National and International media at the sea station.

"It is very pleasant to see how wheat is loaded, but it is very sad that the significant forces of the port are not used. The work of the port was paralyzed for five months, and now, in less than a month, 25 ships left Ukrainian ports and transported more than 600 tons of food. Each ship is a ship of hope, the hopes of Ukrainian farmers who will finally be able to receive a reward for their harvest and make room for the next harvest. Hope for sailors and trading companies for safe use of the Black Sea," Antonio Guterres said.

He emphasized the importance of providing the world with Ukrainian products.
