This weekend, on Sunday, August 21 at 17:00 p.m., the Summer Theater of the City Garden of Odessa will host the final event of the Summer Acting Intensive for Immigrant Children, organized by the Cinema and Theater Laboratory "Illusion", which took place from August 8.
According to the organizers, the premieres of the laboratory's graduates will take place during the festive concert:
- performances "The Toads Family" and "The Adventures of Captain Benjamin";
- short films "Cunning" and "Margarita", which were directed and filmed by children.
More than 20 actors of different ages (from 6 to 16 years old) who came to Odesa from war-torn cities will be on stage. Also, during the event, funds will be collected for the further life and development of the project.
"We are very grateful to our partners for supporting the project. During these two weeks, children of different ages learned to shoot movies and stage plays. They were helped by various specialists, starting from acting and ending with sound engineering. We see this as a necessity, because the development of culture is the creation and preservation of a nation," said the director and artistic director of the Ilyuzion Theater, Dmytro Oleshko.
They help the film and theater laboratory of the NGO "AvtoMaidan" and Formag Forwarding.
