Due to the outbreak of the virus, the Maldives will require tourists to have a negative PCR test for Covid-19, reports AFP.
In mid-July, the country opened its border after the quarantine due to the coronavirus. However, since then, 29 local employees and 16 foreigners at various resorts have been diagnosed with the disease in the Maldives. In this regard, the authorities decided to strengthen the fight against the coronavirus.
According to the new rules, all tourists at the border must present a document on the negative result of a PCR test for COVID-19.
A total of 8003 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Maldives, of which more than 1000 were recorded in the past week alone.
According to the new list, Croatia, Albania and Montenegro are included in the "red zone" among resort countries that host Ukrainians. Slovenia, Egypt, Turkey and Bulgaria remained on the "green list".
