The Ministry of Health predicts an outbreak of COVID-19 in Odessa after the City Day

Ignoring anti-epidemic measures at the City Day celebration will lead to an increase in the incidence of the coronavirus, Stepanov believes.

After the celebration of the City Day in Odessa, an increase in the number of patients with coronavirus is expected. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing on Thursday, September 3.

In the Odesa region, the number of beds in hospitals treating patients with the coronavirus disease is 66%, the minister added.

"Yesterday, photos from the Day of the City celebration in Odessa got online. Well, it seems to me that what we saw is beyond common sense," Stepanov said.

The minister addressed the city government of Odessa: "I understand that you are now all in the elections." That you all live exclusively by electoral processes. But do you know the current state of the epidemic situation in Odessa?".

Now Stepanov predicts an outbreak of the disease in the region and, in particular, in Odessa.

"You don't have to be Wang to clearly understand that in literally a few days, weeks, we will see an even greater increase in the number of patients with COVID-19 in the Odessa region and, directly, in the city of Odessa," the head of the Ministry of Health summarized.
