Today, as part of the large-scale replacement of outdated networks and equipment, the company started active work on one of the main water pipes, which provides drinking water to the residents of the "Cheremushki" microdistrict. The cast-iron pipeline has reached its operational limit, therefore, so that residents do not suffer from frequent accidents and disconnection, it is replaced with a new one. It is planned to lay about 600 meters of a new polyethylene pipe with a diameter of 225 mm, the service life of which will be at least 50 years.
In addition, modern shut-off valves will be installed, which, if necessary, will allow for local shutdowns. Employees of the technical service will build 12 new wells, as well as install 4 new fire hydrants.
The modern method of horizontal directional drilling is used during the works. Thanks to this, it is not necessary to block traffic, create inconvenience for pedestrians, and also cut off the water supply for a long time.
Thus, consumers will be able to receive high-quality and uninterrupted water supply services.
It should be noted that the specialists of "Infoksvodokanal" are laying new sewage and water pipes in place of worn ones in almost all areas of the city. For this, plans for replacing emergency sections are drawn up. At the same time, in the event of emergency damage to the networks, employees of the water supply company try not only to repair the pipe, but to replace it with a new one.
In turn, the director of the "Infoksvodokanal" branch, Igor Lysenko, emphasized that network renewal remains one of the company's priorities this year as well, because the uninterrupted and high-quality water supply of Odessa residents depends on it.
