Law enforcement officers are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the fact of mass infection with the coronavirus in the "Young Guard" children's center in Odessa. This was reported in the Odesa District Police Department No. 1.
As reported on the "Young Guard" website, 19 children and three teachers-organizers who were vacationing at the "Zvezdny" camp were diagnosed with COVID-38.
Four children were hospitalized in GKB No. 3. 34 children and teachers-organizers are in separate boxes of the medical unit of the "Young Guard" under the supervision of medical personnel, their condition is satisfactory.
As the police found out, the children who went to the camp for rest and recovery at the beginning of August had certificates of a favorable epidemiological environment, but after a week several girls and boys showed signs of acute respiratory disease.
All of them underwent diagnostic tests for COVID-19, the results of the majority of minors turned out to be positive, and they were immediately isolated from the rest. Later, several more children and teachers were diagnosed with the coronavirus using express tests.
The "Zvezdny" camp, in which the sick lived, was closed for quarantine, the other two - "Solnechnyi" and "Pribrezhnyi" - are operating as usual, taking into account enhanced anti-epidemic security measures.
Information on the above-mentioned fact was entered by law enforcement officers into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of sanitary rules and norms for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning). A pre-trial investigation is underway.
