The Security Service of Ukraine prevented a terrorist attack in one of the colleges in the Cherkassy region.
According to the investigation, two students of a local college planned a mass shooting of fellow students and even bragged about it on social networks.
The perpetrators also called to join their criminal group for physical violence against their peers.
It is stated that during searches of residences, law enforcement officers found two pistols, computer equipment and means of communication with evidence of their intentions.
As part of the criminal proceedings initiated by SBU investigators under part 1 of Art. 14 h. 1 st. 258 (terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offense and bring the guilty parties to justice," the SBU said in a statement.
