Teenagers in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region, set a 12-year-old boy on fire because they wanted to make a "cool" video.

So, on November 29, around 1:00 a.m., the police were informed by the city hospital that a 12-year-old boy with body burns of varying degrees of severity had been brought to them.
"The victim told the law enforcement officers that he received burns as a result of an arson attack committed by his friends. Police officers found out that the guy voluntarily agreed to this, because the whole company was trying to make a "cool" video. For this purpose, two peers of the victim gathered at the place of residence of one of them, when none of the adults was at home, poured alcohol on the guy and set him on fire. The whole process was filmed on a phone," the police said.
The teenagers explained that they "hoped only for fire, without burns." "Then they extinguished the comrade in the bathroom, and being afraid of what was done, took him home. The boy's mother had already released the ambulance. "At present, a child with physical injuries in the form of a 2nd degree thermal burn of 30% of the body is in the intensive care unit of the Berdyansk Children's Hospital," the police added.
Employees of juvenile prevention held a preventive conversation with the parents of children to strengthen control over the upbringing of children and transferred information about the specified event to the Department of Children's Affairs of the Berdyansk City Council.
On this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 122 (Intentional bodily injury of medium severity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
