"Ukrzaliznytsia" suspended a number of managers of the Prydneprovskaya zheleznaya dorgiya, whose official negligence probably led to the accident of the Intercity+ Kyiv-Zaporozhye train. This was reported in the press service of the company.
According to the preliminary conclusions of the official investigation, the cause of the accident was gross violations in the maintenance of the upper structure of the roads.
In particular, the commission of "Ukrzaliznytsia" discovered technological violations during road works on this section. In addition, violations in keeping accounting journals were established.
"We are establishing strict control over the condition of railway tracks. The safety of our passengers and employees comes first. We will not tolerate official negligence and inaction. There are already preliminary results of the investigation of the train accident and a list of the culprits, whom we will dismiss and bring to justice, and the circle of responsible persons can be expanded. Also, the National Police opened criminal proceedings on the specified fact," said the acting director. Chairman of the board of "Ukrzaliznytsia" Ivan Yuryk.
Thus, the deputy director, the first deputy chief, the chief engineer of the road service and other managers of the regional branch of the "Prydneprovskaya zheleznaya doroga" were removed from their duties.
As a reminder, on March 29, 50 kilometers from Zaporozhye, six out of nine carriages of train #732 Kyiv — Zaporozhye derailed. At the time of the incident, there were 88 passengers in the carriages. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. "Ukrzaliznytsia" created a special commission to investigate the causes of the accident.
