The joke didn't work: the man threatened to blow up the Kyiv Gas Power Plant and was detained

Now the issue of selecting a deterrent measure in the form of detention for the perpetrator is being resolved

The Kyiv-Svyatoshin local prosecutor's office reported suspicion to a man who claimed to have "mined" the Kyiv hydroaccumulating electric power station (GAES).

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office.

According to their data, on Wednesday, February 24, a resident of the Kyiv region called the police and reported that he intended to blow up the dam.

As a result of the survey conducted by the search group of the emergency response services and employees of the regional administration of the GU NP, no explosive objects and improvised explosive devices were found at the GAES.

"On this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for a knowingly false report about a threat to the safety of citizens. On the same day, the perpetrator was detained in the village of Demydovo, and he was informed of the suspicion of committing the specified crime," the prosecutor's office said.

Now the issue of selecting a deterrent measure in the form of detention for the perpetrator is being resolved.
