The Odessa marine died after the explosion

Ruslan Volkov, a flamethrower of the 35th separate marine infantry brigade, died in the hospital from multiple burns caused by the detonation of an unknown explosive device in the "gray zone" on the front of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the brigade's press center reports.

The marine received multiple burns and was hospitalized in the hospital of the city of Toretsk, but it was not possible to save him.

A post about the dead soldier appeared on the page of the Ananievsky district council.

"The district council expresses its deep condolences to the parents and relatives of the deceased, who raised a true patriot and share the inexpressible pain of a heavy loss. Ruslan protected each of us, our region, our freedom and independence. A person's life is priceless, the soul is immortal, and the memory of the hero is eternal," they wrote on the page of the district council. 

Sailor Ruslan Volkov was in a car filling station ARS-14, which was blown up by a mine while driving to the place of extinguishing a forest fire near the village of Novgorodskoe, Donetsk region. Two servicemen received injuries and burns. The doctors fought to the last for the marine's life, but they could not save him.

Ruslan Volkov was born on January 4, 2000. He was a resident of Odessa region.
