President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on introducing amendments to legislative acts on establishing responsibility for declaring false information and failing to submit a declaration. These changes were approved by the Verkhovna Rada on December 4.
This is reported on Online head of state.
The law restores responsibility for the declaration of false information and for non-presentation by the subject of the declaration of property data, canceled by the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. Corresponding amendments are made to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption".
As explained in the Office of the President, the signed document eliminates the gaps in the legislation that arose in connection with the decision of the Constitutional Court of October 27, 2020, and provides the opportunity to bring to criminal responsibility for the declaration of false information and for the failure to submit a declaration by persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government
