Zelensky named the EU countries that do not support Ukraine's accession to the EU

And severely embarrassed the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.

President Volodymyr Zelensky made public information about the states that in closed discussions expressed skepticism about Ukraine's accession to the European Union and wavered on this issue. He writes about it Ukrainian Truth.

On Thursday, the president gave an emotional speech at the summit via video link, talked about those who died as a result of an aggressive attack by the Russian Federation, and also reminded that the EU's reaction to the Kremlin's actions over the past 8 years has almost always been late and asked EU leaders not to miss the decision to approve accelerated accession to the European Union this time.

"Ukraine should be in the EU in the near future. At least you have everything for this," he said.

After that, Zelensky listed all the EU states, marked those of them whose position is questionable. According to European Truth, this list is based on the data of closed discussions in the EU, as well as on the negotiations of Kyiv with some of these countries.

Zelensky called 10 states that do not hide their pro-Ukrainian position in the discussions on the introduction, defined them by the term "for us".

These are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia. Separately, the president singled out Italy, which was skeptical at first, but later, after Zelensky's speech in parliament, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said that the EU was preparing positive solutions for Ukraine. "Thank you for your support!" Zelensky turned to Draga.

The president singled out the next group of 9 countries separately, and also applied positive but more blurred wording to them. According to the EP, the countries included in this group are not clear supporters of the accelerated procedure for Ukraine's entry into the EU, but will vote "yes" during consideration of Ukrainian issues. This group includes France, Greece, Finland, Malta, Denmark, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Sweden and Romania.

Another 6 states, based on Zelensky's words, are recognized as "problematic", but he believes that he will be able to convince them.

"Portugal - well, practically... Netherlands - for rationality, so let's find a common language. Spain - let's find a common language. Belgium - we will find arguments. Austria - being together with Ukrainians gives you opportunities. Ireland - well, practically."

Separately, Vladimir Zelensky named the penultimate person on the list Hungary As you know, in recent weeks, the Hungarian government has made a number of anti-Ukrainian, unacceptable statements. As a result, a quarter of the voters of the Hungarian ruling party accuse Kyiv of war. Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at the summit and reminded him of the history of Hungary during the times of Hitler's Germany.

"I was in Budapest, on your embankment. I saw the memorial "Shoes on the Danube River" Listen, Viktor, do you know what is happening in Mariupol? Go to your embankment, look at those shoes, and you will see how mass murders can be repeated," Zelensky expressed himself emotionally.

We are talking about the memorial on the bank of the Danube, at the place where Hungarian Jews were shot by fascists. Before the murder, they were forced to take off their shoes, which were then sold, or the fascists took them away.

Zelensky ended his speech by mentioning the state that is the key opponent of the country's integration into the EU - O Germany.

"We believe that Germany will also be with us at the decisive moment. Glory to Ukraine!" said the president.
