The National Police has already opened 123 criminal proceedings related to violations of the electoral process. This was reported by the head of the National Police, Igor Klymenko, on the air of the "Freedom of Speech" program.
According to him, the fifth part of all criminal proceedings is voter bribery.
"These are the same product sets with logos of political parties. This year, we are faced with such a problem, when citizens are offered to vote for someone for a month, they are given an advance, and then already on the eve of the election day, it will be necessary to vote and photograph this ballot. We record all these facts," the head of the National Police said.
He also noted that there is another problem - the registration of "double" candidates, the so-called "clones".
"It should be recognized that the law today does not prohibit citizens from changing their surnames or initials. At the same time, I want to give an example of the Kirovohrad region, where a few days ago the National Police and the SBU detained two citizens who tried to trick a local resident, who has the same last name as the local mayor, into registering for the post of mayor for 10 hryvnias. These facts are suppressed and will be suppressed," Klymenko emphasized.
He reported that such facts are being discussed together with the representatives of the Opora Civil Network so that the police can react in time and correctly, including the issue of a mass change of place of registration and voting by citizens from the same address.
"Not only the Zaporozhye region, where we fixed buses that picked up people, and where hundreds of citizens were registered from one IP address. Also, in the Odessa region, about a thousand people tried to change the place of registration and the place of voting in a similar way. We document this process. We are investigating all these facts. But this is a long process," said Klymenko.
