The answer to the question of voting for the candidacy of the first vice-prime minister — the minister of energy can be given after the meeting of the Servant of the People faction on Monday, February 15, said Alexander Kornienko, the first deputy head of the Servant of the People faction.

"You will understand it on Monday, we will understand it at the meeting of the faction," Kornienko said at a briefing on Thursday, answering the question when the parliament will for the third time consider the candidacy of Yury Vytrenko for the position of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy.
"If the faction is again ready to make a submission to the Prime Minister, as we must do according to the Constitution, then, accordingly, a submission will be made. The prime minister will return him to the Verkhovna Rada, then the parliament will plan a vote. At the moment, this question is still being discussed. On Monday, at the fraction, we will come to a final decision, whether it will be this week, or the next, or some other day," he added.
Kornienko expressed the hope that the head of the Ministry of Energy will appear in the near future "regardless of the family name".
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed the former executive director of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy Vytrenko i. at. of the Minister of Energy on December 21, 2020. Prior to that, on December 17, 40 votes were not enough in the Verkhovna Rada to appoint Vytrenko as First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Energy (186 deputies voted for it). He filed a declaration as a candidate for the post of Deputy Minister of Energy. On January 28, the Verkhovna Rada again did not support the appointment of Vytrenko to the post of First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Energy.
