In Ukraine, an educational series about elections was launched

This is a practical instruction, where the voter is explained in simple language everything he needs to know about the upcoming elections

In Ukraine, a new educational series "The Voter" was presented for the local elections. This was reported in the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The film tells what a deputy of the local council does, what open electoral lists are, why a ballot is a control ticket, is it possible to vote early and how to vote if you have COVID-19.

Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration, emphasized that the new course is a practical manual that explains everything you need to know about the upcoming 2020 elections in very simple language.

"So that voting and preparation for it were not stressful, but became an understandable procedure, we prepared an educational series with our partners," she said.

Elena Yurkina, head of programs at the "Reform Assistance Center" OO, noted that the purpose of creating the series was to help voters understand all the changes that occurred in the legislation.

"These are unique elections - the elections will be held for the first time in OTG based on open lists. Changed a lot. In fact, some voters will be surprised because they will receive as many as four ballots per precinct. Therefore, in our series, we tried to focus attention on these new moments," she said.

We remind you that local elections in Ukraine will be held on October 25. The educational series is already available on the "Action. Digital Education" platform: https://osvita.diia.gov.ua/courses/voter
