Parents can choose the form of education for their children themselves. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told about this on the air of the "Breakfast with 1+1" program.
He noted that, according to the government's decision, September 1 of this year will be held in the classical form throughout Ukraine. However, classes will be held remotely in the "red zones".
"Today, in Ukraine, there is an opportunity to study both in the traditional form, as well as remotely, externally, or at home. Parents can choose any of these forms of education," said the Prime Minister.
And he added that television lessons will continue to be broadcast so that children in rural areas can acquire knowledge and study remotely.
Separately, Shmygal emphasized that the responsibility for the purchase of personal protective equipment, antiseptics, etc. local authorities are responsible for teaching staff.
"The owners of the establishments are the local self-government bodies and they had to provide them with everything necessary. We control it. The relevant commissions visited the schools during the previous two weeks and will monitor the situation in the future," he said.
Higher education institutions will work in the same way as secondary and preschool schools. However, if the university is located in the "orange zone", teaching in groups of more than 20 people will be prohibited.
