The investigators completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against the former head of the financial and economic service of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is accused of negligent attitude to military service, committed under the conditions of a special period (Part 3 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported in the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the preliminary investigation, the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was negligent in his military service, allowed the unjustified accrual of monetary allowances not provided for by law to servicemen and salaries to employees of the military unit, causing material damage to the military unit in the amount of more than 1 million 490 thousand. In case of proof of guilt, the accused faces punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of 5 to 8 years.
