At its meeting, the Government of Ukraine introduced state regulation of prices for some food products. The decision was made on January 12.
From now on, the maximum level of the trade allowance cannot exceed 10% for the following "social" goods:
• Pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2,5% (in a film);
• Sunflower oil;
• Chicken eggs of category C1;
• Poultry (chicken carcass);
• Buckwheat groats;
• Sugar-sand;
• Wheat flour of the highest grade;
• Pasta products of Ukrainian production (vermicelli made of high-grade flour);
• Butter with a fat content of 72,5%.
The initiative of state regulation in the government was explained by the high rate of growth of prices for products of these categories. For example, only in 2021, prices in Ukraine for these goods increased by 10%.
Let us remind you that in December of last year, the Cabinet of Ministers also established state regulation of prices for loaves and rye-wheat bread.
